Winsome Waters - the stock audit of 2009

2009 was a great year!. We managed to drain the Top Lake and to add new stock with some new fish up to 40 pounds, bringing the number of good size Carp in the lake to over 200. These fish are fed every day and are now putting weight on rapidly. They will be fifty pounds plus catches in the Spring and they will join the new fifty pounders that have been stocked in this week - 6th Feb 2010.

We drained the... We drained the Top Lake in the Spring of 2009. We cleaned the lake bed and subsequently weighed and measured each fish before we re-introduced them to the lake.

This shot show... This shot shows the depth of Top Lake, it's 16 feet deep at the foot of the jetty.

A busy busy ti... A busy busy time but well worth it. We now know every fish in Top Lake and can therefore assure you that you will have a great time hooking into those beauties.

2 NEW FISH OVE... 2 NEW FISH OVER 50 Pounds into TOP LAKE this week - 4th Feb 2010. This fish is called 'BIRTHDAY' cos we know you are gonna celebrate BIG STYLE when you hook and land this one!

A lovely 17.5 ... A lovely 17.5 pounder from Top Lake for Andy - they seem to be attracted to him!

And we've... And we've named this one 'One Scale' - he's a 33 pounder now but by the Spring.... who knows! 06/02/2010

And 'Scal... And 'Scaley' is looking good at 32.5 pounds - that's the fish, by the way, not Dave!

Fish caught by Sylvan (Carp fisherman extraordinaire) in just 20 hours overnight 12th June - 13th June 2010

16 fish including these beauties, which ranged from 27lbs to 58lbs in weight. All individual weights still to be confirmed - but hey, what a great catch. Please don't forget to send us all your pics guys... we know you're catching them - so let's have your photos to show everyone - thanks cK

Carl and Cameron landed 18 fish throughout their week at the lakes, smashing their Carp personal bests and hooking into 4 good sturgeon as well. Carl says "we had a great time at the lakes, thank you all - we shall return ASAP!"
